I am starting this off in parts because I know it will be too long to write in one day.
So this past month Chris has been home has been wonderful. Plain and simple wonderful. We have had more family time ( quality family time) than we had in the while preceding deployment. It is amazing how caught up in "life" you become you forget to actually live it.
This post deployment time has been such a time of joy. Both Chris and I are making family time a priority in our everyday life. Not taking for granted the small things.
When we started this vacation I had the opportunity to visit with a close friend of mine. Yay!! Laurie is more like a sister than a friend. A sister in Christ and in the Marine Corps' wife club.
They are currently stationed in SC and so we made our lunch stop where she and her daughter ( my niece) Mia could come join us. It was a brief reunion but you learn to appreciate what you can get, and enjoy the face to face contact for however long you can get it. (I truly enjoyed seeing you again Laurie and Mia. I also loved watching our girls play and giggle together.) The girls used the dining room floor in McDonald's as their own private ballroom and danced around for us. It was a wonderful time. After we said our sad : ( goodbyes it was time to continue down to sunny Florida : ) We arrived tired but happy to be at "Disney". Mic didn't get why we couldn't go to the park that first night. Forget that we just drove hours on end to get there she was ready to go NOW! The next morning- bright and early (I might add) we made our first trek to Disney World. The first of many I am sure. We had a blast that first day.
More to come.....
